Ballerinas

The materials I used for this project, are papier-maché and slag, both of them are waste products. For the preparation of papier-maché, I used egg packs made from recycled paper. The slag is a waste product of the steel industry. Particulary exciting is the combination of these profane materials with pure gold which is partially covering the sculptures in the form of gold leaf.
